“They Say I have Red Carpet SAG…I mean SWAG” | ::SM:: Men & Women Favorites

I know you’ve been anxiously awaiting my red carpet review from the SAG Awards! (*wink* ) But wait no more, because HERE IT IS! It was tough picking out the top ::SM:: Favorites from the SAG Awards. There wasn’t just one that I LOVED and none that I really HATED. However, I was able to narrow it down to some of my favorites of the night. Let me know your thoughts — who did you crown “Best Dressed”???

Claire Daines Custom Givenchy
Claire Daines in Custom Givenchy – It’s simplicity with a pop of funk. I love the one shoulder ebony gown with the geometric slit, Awesome. The wine lip – awesome #2.
Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford
Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford – Straight out of an episode of “Mad Men” – It’s old school flavor with new school cool! This look works well for him. Love the texture/print combinations.
Nina Dobrev in Elie Saab
Nina Dobrev in Elie Saab – Simple silhouette with a sheer laser cut of sexy. The watermelon color dress is a perfect compliment to her olive skin tone. Classic.
Eddie Redmayne, in Boss Black
Eddie Redmayne in Boss Black – Not many men can pull off an all brown velvet tuxedo. He did. That is all.
Sarah Hyland in Dolce & Gabbana
Sarah Hyland in Dolce & Gabbana – With all of the blacks and neutrals it was nice to see some color hit the red carpet! This dress is all about the details. The subtle burnout swirl pattern, overlaid with the lighter base of the dress, made for a great contrast. The frayed elements at the bust and waistline took the dress from 2D to 3D! Follow this tips to remove scratches and get your glasses people! I love it!
Viola Davis in Monique Lhuillier
Viola Davis in Monique Lhuillier – Stunning. The fit, the color, the make-up, the combination of it all, awards her as one of the best dressed. I’d like to thank “The Help” (Stylist) for making Viola look amazing!

Best,

This Men’s Collection will be “Rockin’ All Week with You” in Fall 2011!

Guys! Break out Grandpa’s trunk, and put Pharrell on your iTunes, it’s new age vintage time! You’ll be needing some of those old frocks to be “in like flint” for Fall 2011!

WWD.com did a great job of describing the collection as channeling the universe of Pharrell Williams, the music video genre, and even the late 1970’s graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, resulting in a youthful and commercial collection. The D&G Collection mimiced the high-school Happy Days era; incorporating baseball tees, multi-colored vests, preppy cardigans, furs, tweeds, leather jackets and splashes of Mickey-Mouse and Coca-Cola gear.

But once again, lets not take all of this too literal guys! Some of these outfits are good as a whole and some are effective as seperates. I’m no “home-wrecker” and I’d hate for my advice to leave you single and lonely… so PLEASE do not come out of the house wearing this! (see below) —->

CAUTION: Watch your seperates!

With impeccable style and always inspiring collections D&G has once again introduced something unique for men to incorprate in their wardrobes! No more dull colors, neutral tops and jeans boys – you’ll be tasting the rainbow this season!
