Charlotte Fashion Guild presents: Style Week! Its all about reinventing fashion in the Carolinas! As the lead stylist for the show and media rep, I am able to give you an all access pass to the 1st Annual Style Week! The event not only featured amazing designs from boutiques and designers but also gave a portion of the proceeds to the charity organization It Gets Better. Missed the show? I needed a fashion juice-up and decided to flip through some of the Pre-Fall collections on Style.com. I found that black and white continued to be important colors for this time period, along with soft to bold shades of blue and burgundy. I normally just give a show review, but today, I thought I’d challenge myself to select 3-4 looks that could make it to my closet from each collection. It’s easy to pick favorite looks from designers you love, the challenge is selecting from designers that aren’t at the top of your list. [In doing this I found myself adding quite a few new favorites!] Check out my 1st round of selections below and let me know who you like!

Fashion Week has strutted its way through New York, London, Milan and Paris – making a statement at every stop! This year, the runways definitely seemed to bear their breast best!  Plunging necklines, laser cuts, splits, lace and sheer details seemed to be prevalent amongst many of the designers collections this season! I was a little disappointed when I found out I couldn’t make it to NY Fashion Week this year – but lo and behold, the fashion-gods answered my prayers! I will still be able to catch some of my favorite designers front row, LIVE, and at home!
You and I both have just been granted front row tickets to 30+  shows for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!!
This year several designers will showcase their collections via live-stream using various sites including livestream.com, facebook.com, and style.com to name a few.
I am so excited and am sure you are as well! – so print out this page, grab a pen and pad, put it in your blackberry; do whatever you have to do to get ready for a fashion week unlike any before.
No lines, no money, and no travel, but a front row seat and all the fashion you can get!
