I don’t know about you but Vogue has a way of taking average looking chicks and turning them into debonair divas! Italian Vogue did just that with actress Jessica Alba in a sexy, dark and mysterious fashion spread in the 2011 April issue. The structured black bob is what made the shoot in my opinion – taking her away from the long hair that has kept her “cutesy” for so long.
Well done Michelangelo di Battista! (photographer) (I’m ready for my shoot! wink*)
If your “bobbing” or not, you are greatness already happening!

[ It sounds like Wintour isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Vogue is Conde Nast’s most profitable publication, Si Newhouse confirms, adding that he has no successor in mind: “Never. I hope she’s here 10 years from now, 20 years from now.” Wintour, for her part, says: “With all the new media outlets out there, with all the noise, a voice of authority and calm like Vogue becomes more important than ever. The more eyes on fashion, the more opinions about fashion, the more exploration of fashion around the world, the better it is for Vogue. Vogue is like Nike or Coca-Cola — this huge global brand. I want to enhance it, I want to protect it, and I want it to be part of the conversation.”] (Wall Street Journal, Fashionologie.com) read more
Her passion, drive, perseverance, and stature… admirable.
We are all cautious about our children growing up to fast and hope to have them maintain their youth in this fast-paced, rated ‘R’ world! At age 7, all a kid should be worried about is barbies, playing with friends, and candy… not trying to figure out if their cleavage is going to look “appealing enough”.
The aid to this agony is Abercrombie and Fitch. The company has just released a children’s swimwear line – highlighting the triangle push-up bikini! Nymag.com says that back in 2002 A&F was criticized for a line of thongs they released for 7 yr. olds which had suggestive remarks on the front of them. I have a feeling A&F is not concerned with whats “politically correct”, but rather the company….period.
So, what are you thoughts ::SM:: Subscribers?
I think the one thing we have to remember is that the KIDS aren’t the ones who are going to be cutting the check to buy these bathing suits. Definitely don’t think any 2nd graders are pulling in A&F kind of money! Which means – PARENTS are the ones who need to be aware of what they are buying for their children. It will be your responsibility to just say… NO! Let your child grow up naturally. There are already so many other factors, socially and in the media, that are causing your child to be exposed too soon.
Be aware and know you are gorgeous just the way you are….. greatness already happening!
Appearing in over 50 movies, Taylor was a legendary actress. Her beauty and appearance on and off the set captured the attention of women everywhere. Her role in the 1963 film Cleopatra inspired many to begin trending Egyptian inspired silhouettes, patterns, and looks into their collections.
We Will Miss You
Unfortunately, today we say goodbye to Elizabeth Taylor, who passed at the age of 79 to congestive heart failure.
Early Tuesday morning, Chris Brown had an interview on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts. The interview was going great until Roberts managed to squeeze in a few comments about Rihanna. Disturbed by the questions, Brown quickly directed the conversation back to talking about his new album. But that’s not even the best part! According to TMZ, Brown lost it in the dressing room, screaming, jumping in the face of a GMA producer, breaking a window, and then storming out of the building with his shirt off (TMZ has the shirtless photos).”
After the show, Roberts Tweeted: “Sure has been an interesting AM @GMA. Still sorting thru everything myself. Just my 2nd day on twitter, wonder what tomorrow will bring?”
According to TMZ, Brown Tweeted, “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t.”
He removed the message and posted two more, notes People.com: “Thank you to everyone who supports my music!!! Key Word (music) !!! Love y’all,” and “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”
So whats the deal with Chris Breezy? Does he still have anger management issues he needs to deal with? Or maybe the bleach got to his head! Whatever the case, he needs some serious, help, healing, and guidance.
What are your thoughts ::SM:: Subscribers? Do you like his new “good boy, gone bad” look?
