Lotus Boutique teamed with VitaminWater to give Charlotte, NC a show to remember! The event will feature an exclusive viewing of Lotus Boutiques Summer 2011 Collection along with 7 designers competing in the VitaminWater flavor inspired fashion challenge. Each designer was given one of the 7 flavors of Vitaminwater Zero and was then required to create a custom designed garment that would best represent the flavor selected. From color and flavor, to texture and silhouette, it will be quite exciting to see what these designers have pulled out of their sleeves!

Latest ::SM:: News Update: The memorable “Seventh Street Itch” subway dress that is apart of Debbie Reynolds collection of Hollywood Costumes is being auctioned off in Beverly Hills later this month. The pleated halter dress was designed by William Travilla and is considered one of the most iconic dresses in Hollywood history. The Profiles in History auction house, which is holding the June 18 auction, estimates the value at between $1 million and $2 million (LA Times).

The word on the street is that designer Diane Von Furstenberg will be designing a line for Gap Kids. The collection will most likely be released in Spring/Summer 2012 – which for us fashion junkies is right around the corner!
I am anxious to see what she has up her sleeve for this collection. Surely there will be plenty of print combinations and dainty silhouettes – But I am crossing my fingers that she adds a baby wrap dress to the mix! Now THAT I would love to see!

With the weather already in the 90’s, this weekend will definitely be the time to wear the most “mother nature appropriate” outfit! We all know the result of hot humid climates, they usually result in random rain/thunder-storm in the latter part of the day – MEANING your outfit needs to be “RUN” accessible! A cute look… with dog wet hair… is not a good combo!
