::FROM A-Z::

Fashion Week has strutted its way through New York, London, Milan and Paris – making a statement at every stop! This year, the runways definitely seemed to bear their breast best!  Plunging necklines, laser cuts, splits, lace and sheer details seemed to be prevalent amongst many of the designers collections this season! Below you will find 1-3 looks that made it to my closet from all of the designers that start with an “A” — check it out!

Slim Pickin’ at the VMAs | ::SM:: Best Dressed

The VMAs recognize musical talent at it’s best. Unfortunately, it was hard to recognize a “Best Dressed” at this star studded event! I guess artists are more concerned with music than their wardrobes…

None the less, I managed to find my top three and funny – they’re all European…

Team Vogue Gets Olympic Gold! | How Britain Ended the Games in Style

Vogue UK and top Supermodels helped Fashion win the ultimate medal of honor at the 2012 London Olympic closing ceremony. Models were adorned in gold pieces created by some of Britain’s design visionaries – Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Jonathan Saunders and Paul Smith to name a few.

Calling the spread “The Midas Touch”, Nick Night (Photographer) and Lucinda Chambers (Fashion Director) did a phenomenal job showcasing the beauty of fashion – and the beauty of GOLD! Oversized posters of the photographs (featured in the September issue of Vogue UK) dropped to reveal live models wearing these golden creations.

The finale: A catwalk down the stage  to the sounds of David Bowie “Fashion”; ending in a pose with fortitude, facing the crowd as if they had championed the Olympics with their winning outfits!

Blood, Sweat, Tears….and Fashion | 2012 Olympic Games London

Yesterday marked the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London – a true honor for athletes across the world who have dedicated long hours and fought through blood, sweat, and tears to make standing in the Olympic Stadium possible. Though the attention may be turning to sports, fashion never seems to take a back seat! Vogue Magazine, did a cover shoot recognizing USA Olympic players in a unique fashion spread. However, this was no ESPN spread highlighting athletic brands like Nike, Jordan, and K-swiss – oh no! Vogue infused a little Bottega Venetta, Atelier Versace, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Oscar de la Renta and other couture fashion designs into the mix! Confused on how they made this work? Just see below how photographer Annie Leibovitz worked her magic… (she deserves a gold medal for this one!) Enjoy –>
