Fashion In the City |Fundraise and Runways! | Front Row CLT

A fashion show highlighting the latest looks for the season is great! But add a charity to the mix, and your really setting trends! On March 5th, Front Row Charlotte raised $10,000 for Baby Bundles, an organization that helps mothers in need with newborn essentials. Attendees felt honored to give back. but felt even more honored when they got to sit their backs in front row seats at the show! Every attendee at the event got a front row seat and an up close look at each runway ensemble!

But the coolness doesn’t stop there – immediately after the runway show, guests have the opportunity to purchase items right off the runway! Five local boutiques were featured: Coral, Coplons, Poole Shop, Social Dress Shop, and Our Place. Pop-up shops for each participating boutique and designer were featured along side the runway.

Tracy Reese | Fall 14′ Collection Review

The Tracy Reese Fall 14′ collection was wearable and functional! It offered looks perfect for every woman’s lifestyle. Signature party dresses and full flounce skirts were featured in geometric and photo-real prints that looked great on each silhouette. Reese added everyday separates to her line-up that made this collection easy to wear right off the runway! Pull-over sweaters or outerwear jackets looked great paired with full skirts and herringbone trousers. Check out a glimpse of the collection below:

DID YOU KNOW?!:

Style.com said that Reese’s flair for functionality made her a natural ambassador for Tide’s new Washable Fashion initiative in partnership with the CFDA, for which Reese created two full runway looks meant to be washed with Tide Pods. Saving time and money on dry cleaning is a proposition that will surely resonate with Reese’s contemporary customers.

MY POINT OF VIEW:

The Looks I’d Wear | Pre-Fall 2014 Designer Collections

I needed a fashion juice-up and decided to flip through some of the Pre-Fall collections on Style.com. I found that black and white continued to be important colors for this time period, along with soft to bold shades of blue and burgundy. I normally just give a show review, but today,  I thought I’d challenge myself to select 3-4 looks that could make it to my closet from each collection. It’s easy to pick favorite looks from designers you love, the challenge is selecting from designers that aren’t at the top of your list. [In doing this I found myself adding quite a few new favorites!]  Check out my 1st round of selections below and let me know who you like!
