Gossip Girl Star Blake Lively may be casted as the young Carrie Bradshaw for the Sex and the City prequel based on Candice Bushnell’s novel The Carrie Diaries, the coming-of-age story of one of fashion’s most famous characters.
Those are certainly a big pair of “manolos” to fill! Will she be able to do it!?

Italian Vogue features another all-black editorial, “The Black Allure”, shot by British photographer Emma Summerton and styled by Edward Enninful.
The spread was heavily inspired by 1920’s fashion, brushed with CoCo Chanel influenced flapper dresses and the ever-so era appropriate cigarette.
(Chanel believed it was simplicity that really made for elegant style. Think about this next time you coordinate your own outfits)
The first all-black issue for Italian Vogue came out in July 2008 (which I am sure you still have stored away somewhere), and since then they have incorporated an all Asian issue. Hopefully this isn’t just a gimmick to satisfy the masses; but rather steps toward fashion becoming more racially inclusive.

Rihanna’s S&M video has been banned from TV in 11 countries! (But available worldwide on YouTube…hmm). MTV is looking to edit this colorful and strategically hardcore video to make it acceptable for day-time TV.
Laced with Prada throughout the video – this fashionista will not be getting the hoped for airtime on this one! However, social media has certainly changed the way Artists market their material. I’m sure she’s reached more fans through YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter than she would have on TV anyway! And yes, this ‘ban’ has caused an even greater increase in viewership!

February 2 marks the day we wait for our little furry friend to predict how many more weeks of winter we will have. I wonder what else we could find out if we trusted animal instincts to tell us about what the future holds in other areas! hmmm…

I know it’s a 4hr out-of-town trip for me to get my H&M shopping fix, but sooner than later my voyage for fashion euphoria will be a quick walk to my laptop!
For all you H&M lovers – get ready – This Swedish retail will now be available ONLINE!
“H&M has decided to have online shopping in the US at the turn of the year 2011/2012! Stay tuned for more,” the company Tweeted.
The company has also reinstated it’s exclusive PLUS division called “Inclusive” that will also be available online!
I think I just might begin saving my fashion pennies now! This is going to be the best New Years EVER! =)
